Hanif Nazem Zomorrodi was born in 1979 in the city of Gorgan in Iran. His parents were both political activists. His father, Reza Nazem Zomorrodi, was executed by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1981 for being a member of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, and his mother was in prison for five years.
Since his childhood, Hanif was interested and slightly active in acting, music, cinema, and theater. Hanif received his diploma in computer science and fled Iran in 1999 to engage in political activities against the Islamic republic ruling Iran.
Hanif (Mohsen Vaqif) performed political comedy shows on Pake Shadi, INTV (Iran National Television) for 15 years and became a well-known comedian. These shows were greatly welcomed by the Iranian people both in Iran and abroad. His performances included comedy, comic songs, political podcasts and animation voiceovers, exposing the real nature of the Iranian regime.
Hanif recently started his independent comedy channel called Tanzolemareh and is active on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
